"The paradox of using female nudity in empowerment marketing is that their bodies are still being used as objects to sell something." Yeah, I'm not feeling particularly empowered by being shown that women's breasts are different sizes; I been knowing that. All women know that. Adidas isn't telling us anything we don't already know - the specs of the new bras are the information we need. So I'm not feeling confident about their motivations.

Yes we are terrible at measuring risk. We have no problem sitting in a metal box hurtling along at 70mph mere inches from hundreds of other metal boxes. It may be irrational to fear running at night but the fear is real. Adding to that fear a feeling that you may be to blame for any assault is just terrible.
